Terms of Service
Last updated: April 19, 2026
These terms govern your use of Black & Gold SEO (the “Service”), operated by Taylor Family Software LLC(“we,” “us”). By creating an account, installing our site snippet, or sending us a webhook, you agree to these terms.
1. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract. You're responsible for keeping your password confidential. Notify us at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
2. Acceptable use
You agree NOT to:
- Use the Service to audit, crawl, or modify sites you don't own or have explicit written authorization for.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract proprietary content of the Service.
- Use the Service to send unsolicited commercial email (“spam”) or content that violates the recipient's rights.
- Introduce malware, exploit vulnerabilities, or attempt to access data you're not authorized to see.
- Resell the Service or white-label it without our written agreement (this is what the Agency plan is for — contact us).
Outreach campaigns must be permission-based or clearly opted-in. Every outreach email sent through our Service includes a working unsubscribe link; you may not suppress, alter, or circumvent it. You're responsible for complying with applicable email laws (CAN-SPAM in the US, GDPR in the EU, CASL in Canada, etc.).
3. Subscriptions & payment
- Free tier(if offered) has limits published in-app. We may change free-tier limits with 30 days' notice.
- Paid plans bill in advance on a monthly or annual cadence via Stripe. Prices are listed on /pricing/. Taxes are added at checkout where applicable.
- Auto-renewal — subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from the Stripe Customer Portal linked inside your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Refunds — annual plans include a 14-day money-back guaranteefrom the date of first charge. Monthly plans are not pro-rated on cancellation. If something's broken or we billed you in error, email [email protected] and we'll make it right.
- Price changes— we may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; existing annual plans keep their rate through the current term.
4. What we provide
The Service is a suite of AI-assisted SEO tools: audits, content analysis, backlink outreach, schema injection, page hosting for AI-drafted pages, and related automation. We do our best to keep it fast, accurate, and well-documented, but:
- AI outputs are probabilistic. We ground our generations in your site's actual content and include evidence, but the AI can still produce imperfect drafts — you own the final review before shipping anything to a live audience.
- Ranking isn't guaranteed.Search engine rankings are controlled by Google, Bing, and others. We can't promise a specific rank, CTR, or traffic number. Nobody can.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of every piece of content you provide or we generate on your behalf (drafts, blog posts, outreach copy, hosted pages, schema). By using the Service you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content for the purpose of running the Service. We will not use your content to train models, resell to third parties, or use it beyond serving you.
6. Our content
The Service itself — source code, UI, brand, documentation — is owned by Taylor Family Software LLC and licensed to you on a subscription basis. You may not copy, republish, or redistribute proprietary parts of the Service. Publicly documented APIs and examples you write on top of them are yours.
7. Termination
You may cancel anytime — no penalty. Your data stays available for 90 days after your last billing period, then gets deleted (see Privacy Policy).
Wemay suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, fail to pay, or use the Service in a way that threatens its integrity or other users. We'll email you first when possible.
8. Warranty & liability
The Service is provided “as-is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement to the maximum extent allowed by law.
Liability cap:Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the Service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (e.g. lost profits, lost rankings, lost goodwill). Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations — if yours doesn't, the cap applies to the extent permitted.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Taylor Family Software LLC is registered, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes go first to good-faith negotiation; if unresolved, to the courts of that jurisdiction.
10. Changes to these terms
If we update these terms materially, we'll email registered users and show an in-app banner at least 14 days before the new terms take effect. Continued use after that counts as acceptance.
11. Contact
Legal questions, complaints, or takedown notices go to [email protected]. Billing questions go to [email protected]. Response within one business day.
